  Reverend [開道]

A reverend who is always telling his apprentice to have faith but is the first to run when trouble arrives. Was unlucky enough to bump into both Kyokotsu and Ginkotsu.

  Rin [りん]

A human girl who tended to Sesshomaru when he was injured. She was killed by Koga's wolves, but she was revived by Sesshoumaru's Tenseiga.

   Sango [珊瑚]

From the village of the Demon-Slayers [妖怪退治屋]. Lost her family and entire village in a insidious plot by Naraku. She loves her kid brother Kohaku very much, and is torn when he is brought back to life by Naraku and uses him for his evil plans. Her pet, Kirara, accompanies her in her adventures. Has a tumultous relationship with Miroku.

  Sara [娑蘿]

A princess from the Asano castle who fell in love with Sesshomaru, and knew of his wish for Tetsusaiga. At her deathbed, she gave herself to demons, much like Onigumo, and the demons ended up taking over her body so as to exact revenge on Sesshomaru. When she finally died, Sesshomaru placed her beloved flute on her ashes, telling her to "Keep playing your flute in the world above…".

  Satoru Ikeda

Sota's classmate who became unconscious after a fire broke out in his home. The spirit of his sister, Mayu, lingers on to wreck vengence on Satoru, whom she believed to be her mother's favourite child.

  Satsuki [サツキ]

A girl who awaits the return of her elder brother. She was given a quartz by him, and made to believe that it was a Sacred Jewel fragment which would ensure his return. Shippo's first crush.

  Satsuki's brother [サツキの兄]

Satsuki's elder brother who went to war to become a Samurai. He died in the war, and the Lizard Demon took his form to trick Satsuki and threaten the group for the Sacred Jewel fragments.

  Sayo [小夜]

A village kid who is very attached to Kikyo. Had a fright when she witnessed Kikyo killing Master Seikai.

  Seikai [僧]

A master monk who tried to send Kikyo on her way, but was killed by her instead.

  Serina [セリナ]

The elder of a pair of sisters who were Sango's apprentices. They came from a village of ninja agents (shinobi / 忍者) which was wiped out by demons. The sisters wanted to steal the Demon Slayer's weapons to restore their village. She is softer and weaker than Suzuna.

  Sesshomaru [殺生丸]

Inuyasha's older brother, but is a full-demon. Despises Inuyasha for being half-demon, and is disgruntled that the Tetsusaiga was given to him instead. Later commissioned Kaijinbo to make Tokijin from Goshinki's fang.

  Shako [シャコ]

Sango's grandfather, who was the chief in the Village of the Demon Slayers in the past. Also wields the Hiraikotsu and has a close relationship with Kirara. After slaying the Centipede Mistress, he passed the Sacred Jewel to Kikyo to purify it.

  Shima [志麻]

The daughter of a doting lord and his wife. Having a weak constitution, she was constantly resting in bed. Miroku sold them some expensive herbs and asked her to bear her child when she gets better, which led her to get well. The catfish demon, Nushi, in a nearby lake wants her as a bride.

  Shinosuke [篠助]

A forlorn young man in search of his fiance, Wakana.

  Shinsen Priest [神泉和尚]

A famous and powerful priest who sealed Entei and Rengokuki in his younger days. Was attacked by Kagura and Akago to look at the boundary between this world and the next, and to release Entei.

  Shintarou [新太郎]

Only son of a village chief of Hijiri Island [聖島]. He and his father are the only ones who can cross over to Hijiri and take care of the shrine housing the saint, Hakushin [聖者 白心上人].

  Shiori [紫織]

A half demon whose father, Tsukuyomaru, was a Bat Demon, and mother, Shizu, a human. On her dad's passing, she took over the role as guardian of the Bat Demon Nest, and uses a red orb to create barrier.

  Shippo [七宝]

A cute fox demon kid [コギツネの妖怪] whose parents were slaughtered by the Thunder Brothers. After Inuyasha avenged their deaths, he tags along in the journey for Sacred Jewels. Our web mascot.

  Shizu [紫津]

Shiori's mother, who had her with Tsukuyomaru. She is torn between letting her Bat Demon grandfather, Tagiokumaru use her, or let her stay in the village and be ostracised by humans.

  Shoga [生姜]

A flea demon [蚤妖怪] betrothed to Myoga. She bewitched the group to get back at him for running away.

  Shokichi [小吉]

A toddler who was captured by the Corpse Crow in episode 2.

  Shouji [唱沈]

A cowardly apprentice with more sense than his master. Was unlucky enough to bump into both Kyokotsu and Ginkotsu.

  Shousuke [小助]

A boy whose parents and villager neighbors were captured by Orochidayu to make the Sacred Jewel. Was able to escape that fate because he was being punished and was made to stay in the chicken house.

  Sota Higurashi [日暮草太]

Kagome's kid brother, who takes care of Kagome. Likes soccer and is in 3rd grade in Elementary School. Is a little timid. Has a crush on Hitomi.

  Soul Piper [タタリモッケ]

Born from the souls of departed children. When a child dies, the Soul Piper plays with that child until the soul is able to rest in peace. As long as its eyes are closed, it’s a peaceful demon. Blows a little flute with soothing sounds.

  Souten [蒼天]

The last remaining member of the Raiju [雷獣族] tribe. She challenged Shippo to avenge the deaths of Hiten and Manten. Although not physically strong, she makes up for it with her shrewdness. Fought with Shippo for a box of crayons, which Shippo gave her after learning that she was a girl. Developed a crush on him after that. Has a pet dragon, Koryu [紅竜].

  Suekichi [末吉]

Stand-in sacrifice to the Water God (Evil) and close friend of Taromaru.

  Suzuna [スズナ]

The younger of a pair of sisters who were Sango's apprentices. They came from a village of ninja agents (shinobi / 忍者) which was wiped out by demons. The sisters wanted to steal the Demon Slayer's weapons to restore their village. She possesses great ninja skills and is cheeky. She is also stronger than Serina.

  Takeda Kuranosukea [武田蔵之介]

Young master of the Asashi Court. He fell in love with Sango six years ago, when the Demon Slayers were asked to slay a bear demon at their castle. Due to the reappearance of the bear demon, Inu-gang was asked to help out. He takes this chance to propose to Sango. Although he may seem dense through his frequent loud laughter to himself, he was sensitive enough to see the chemisty between Sango and Miroku, and did not force himself on her any further.

  Takedake Kashi

Retainer of the Asashi Court. He was first assistant to the Lord, and then to his son, Takeda Kuranosukea. Due to his older master's greed, he has to help sell bear products. (though failing terribly)

  Taromaru [太郎丸]

Headman's son in the village controlled by the Water God (Evil). Shares the same characteristic eyebrows.

  Tokajin's teacher · Sage [仙人]

The Sage who was training Tokajin. He was turned into fertilizer for the Tree of Human-faced Fruit by Tokajin. His head was embedded into a flower as he refused to tell Tokajin the process of making the Fruit of Longevity. He used his last ounce of power to transform himself into a bow, to aid Kagome.

  Torako

A cat from Bunza's tribe who went to look for him at Totosai's place, to inform him that his dad went to get Nanafushi.

  Totosai [刀々斎]

Master swordsmith who forged Tetsusaiga and Tenseiga. Rides a three-eyed cow, Mou-mou.

  Tsukiyomi [月黄泉]

Warrior who fell in love with the demon Hoshiyomi. Harrassed by demons for this ill-fated relationship, Hoshiyomi commissioned Kaijinbo to forge the Halberd of Yin & Yang. However, the demonic and powerful weapon began to possess Hoshiyomi. Fearing for his fate, Tsukiyomi sealed him so as to separate the Halberd. However her powers were drained and she died before she got release Hoshiyomi from the seal again. Hence Hoshiyomi bears a grudge against her.

  Tsukuyomaru [月夜丸]

Shiori's bat demon father, who had her with Shizu. He empathized with humans and threatened Tagiokumaru to leave his guardianship if the Bat Demons didn't leave the village alone. He was killed by Tagiokumaru for his defiance.
